Why Choose Steel Wall Cladding

Our highly durable steel wall cladding sheets provide a low-maintenance, weather resistant protective outer layer across many residential, commercial and industrial buildings. Available in a variety of colours and finishes, metal wall cladding gives a sleek, contemporary appearance to suit all properties and projects.

Choosing Your Profile

Our wall cladding sheets are available in 32/1000 box profile and 34/1000 box profile.

Seen up close, the profile you choose for your exterior wall cladding has a bigger impact on how the building looks than it does on a roof.

  • 32/1000 has a shallower profile, sitting closer to the wall for a flatter, more understated finish.
  • 34/1000 has a deeper, more pronounced box shape, giving the wall more visual depth and a bolder look.

Our coated sheets are available in 0.5mm and 0.7mm thicknesses. 0.5mm is a lighter, cost-effective option for most projects, whilst 0.7mm offers extra rigidity which may suit buildings in more exposed locations or areas prone to impact. Our galvanised cladding sheets are supplied at 0.5mm thickness.

Matching Steel Wall Cladding to Your Roof

Most cladding projects use matching or complementary profiles and colours across the roof and walls, so the finished building looks like one job rather than two mismatched surfaces.

If you’re ordering both, check out our box profile roof sheets in the same profile and colour and add flashing to fix the joins between the roof and wall.

Finishes & Colours

Our steel wall cladding sheets are available in a range of colours and three coatings, each giving a different look and level of protection.

  • Galvanised: A metallic finish, practical and cost-effective for agricultural and industrial buildings.
  • Polyester Paint: A smooth, painted finish in colours including anthracite grey and goosewing but should be handled carefully to prevent scratches.
  • PVC Plastisol: A tougher, more scratch-resistant coating suited to walls with more contact and exposure.

Fixing Metal Wall Cladding Panels

Roof sheets follow the pitch of the roof, but steel wall cladding isn’t restricted the same way.

Sheets can be fixed horizontally or vertically, depending on the look you want and the direction of the framing.

  • Vertical Fixing – Allows rainwater to drain naturally down the channels, making it a good option for walls with heavy weather exposure.
  • Horizontal Fixing – Offers a sleek, modern visual line and is often chosen for appearance rather than performance.

Maintaining Metal Wall Cladding

Steel wall cladding is low maintenance, especially compared to traditional materials like wood and render. A wash down from time to time is usually enough to keep it looking right. It’s also worth carrying out routine checks for debris build-up, loose fasteners and any scratches to the coating.
